Teaching Qualifications

PMA launched it's Teaching Qualification to fill a gap in the market. It was felt that there was little opportunity for students who achieved a high level dance qualification to achieve a teaching qualification or enter students for exams without a great deal of additional training and expense and without repeating a lot of work already covered as part of their previous programme.

We also felt that some teachers could be very specialist in certain areas, such as Pre-School Dance for example, but not have the opportunity to enter students for exams or claim any recognition for their specialism when they don't necessarily have the expertise to teach other forms of dance.

It also allows teachers the opportunity to enter students for exams that other societies perhaps don't provide such as Street and Contemporary for example.
