Clare Robson

The Principal of Prima (Clare Robson) studied dance teaching extensively for four years and is a fully qualified, registered teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and the British Ballet Organization (BBO), both of which are accredited by the Council for Dance Education and Training (CDET)

Her qualifications are also accredited by the Qualifications & Curriculum Authority (QCA) and are part of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF)

She has 12 years teaching experience in her own private school and has also taught workshops for SureStart, playgroups, nurseries and schools. In addition to these she holds a GCSE in ‘Childcare and Development’, an NOCN certificate in ‘Introductory Child Psychology’ and an emergency first aid certificate, which is updated regularly. She is also an approved teacher training mentor for the RAD.

Clare holds Enhanced Disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) which is renewed every two years and she follows the Code of Professional Conduct recommended by the CDET. She holds Public Liability Insurance and a PPL licence authorising the use of sound recordings. She regularly undertakes Continual Professional Development and is a former member of the Regional Advisory Committee of the RAD. Her private school, Prima School of Performing Arts has also been awarded Recognised School Status by the CDET and is currently the only school in Tyne & Wear to have achieved this standard.
