We offer ballet classes to children from the age of 4 right up to advanced or adult levels (adult beginners also catered for). These classes are based on the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus and students can be prepared for exams with them. We have experience and success in entering children for exams from Pre-Primary level up to Advanced 1.
In the early years props are used in the classes to help inspire the children, develop coordination and encourage natural movement. These include ribbons, scarves, wands and flags.
We also regularly use themes such as Christmas, Easter, Chinese New Year, Seaside etc. to keep interest levels high and using the 'learning through play' theory. The children learn how to point their toes and jump correctly. These classes provide an excellent basis for the more technical graded classes which follow.
